Greg, My Foreman and Very Good Friend - You Will Be Deeply Missed
Greg was my foreman and a very good friend, and I miss him dearly. We first met back in Calgary, in 1990. He wasn’t just a colleague but quickly became a close friend. Our journey together was special, starting from the time he followed me to the West Coast. We became roommates, sharing both our professional and personal lives, and creating countless good memories.
Our paths diverged for a time when I moved for a new job, but we never lost touch. We would catch up often, reminiscing about old times and creating new memories. In 2005, when Greg and I crossed paths again, I knew I wanted him to be part of my company, Atrysten. I asked him to join as my foreman, and thankfully, he agreed.
Greg’s time at Atrysten was invaluable. He had to retire when his health took a turn, focusing on his battle with the support of his wife, Kelly. His absence was deeply felt by everyone at work – he wasn’t just an excellent plumber; he was inspirational to everyone, an integral part of our team, and a great person to have around.
Over the years, I learned a lot from Greg. He might not have realized just how important he was to me, from my early 20s up until now. The boys and I still get together, have a beer, and talk about all the great times with Greg. He left us with so many good stories.
So here’s to you, Greg. You were more than a foreman; you were a true friend. I’m sure there is a broken pipe somewhere that needs fixing, just like always. You’ll be missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace, my friend.
